अलीकडेच आफ्रिदीने पाकिस्तानच्या समा टीव्ही चॅनलवर बोलताना भारतावर टीका केली होता. तो म्हणाला होता की, “जर भारतात फटाके फोडले तर त्याचा दोष पाकिस्तानवर येतो.” त्याने भारतीय सैन्यावरही टीका केली होती. आफ्रिदी म्हणाला होता, “काश्मीरमध्ये ८ लाखांची फौज आहे, तरीही हे घडले. याचा अर्थ असा की तुम्ही लोक निरुपयोगी आहात, अक्षम आहात, तुम्ही लोकांना सुरक्षा देऊ शकत नाही.”

\nत्याने भारतीय माध्यमांच्या कव्हरेजला “बॉलिवूड ड्रामा” म्हटले होते. तसेच अप्रत्यक्षपणे भारतीय क्रिकेटपटूंनाही लक्ष्य केले होते. पहलगाम दहशतवादी हल्ल्याची जबाबदारी ‘द रेझिस्टन्स फ्रंट (टीआरएफ)’ ने घेतली होती, जी बंदी घातलेल्या पाकिस्तानी दहशतवादी संघटना लष्कर-ए-तैयबाशी जोडलेली आहे. त्यामुळे केरळ समुदायावर सोशल मीडियावरुन टीका होत आहे.
