आज पहाटे साडे पाच वाजता कांतीरवा स्टेडियमवरून त्यांची अंत्ययात्रा सुरू करण्यात आली. तेथून ती 13 किमी अंतरावरील कांतीरवा स्टुडिओत नेण्यात आली. सकाळी दहा वाजता त्यांच्यावर तेथे अंत्यसंस्कार करण्यात येणार होते पण त्याच्या खूप आधीच म्हणजे सकाळी साडे सहा वाजता त्यांच्या कुटुंबियांच्या संमतीने त्यांच्यावर अंत्यसंस्कार झाले.
\nयावेळी मुख्यमंत्री बसरवराज बोम्माई यांच्यासह त्यांच्या मंत्रिमंडळातील अनेक सहकारी तेथे उपस्थित होते. माजी मुख्यमंत्री बी.एस. येडियुरप्पा, सिद्धरामैय्या, प्रदेश कॉंग्रेस अध्यक्ष डी. के. शिवकुमार यांच्या अनेक मान्यवर व अभिनेते व चित्रपटसृष्टीतील दिग्गज यावेळी उपस्थित होते.
