दोन दशकांपूर्वी सलीलने मद्यपानाच्या व्यसनावर मात करण्यासाठी पुनर्वसन केंद्राची मदत घेतली होती. मात्र, यावेळी तो केवळ मानसिक स्वास्थ्यासाठी तिथे गेला असून लवकरच आपल्या ‘पहिल्या प्रेमा’कडे म्हणजेच क्रिकेटकडे परतेल, असा विश्वास त्याच्या कुटुंबीयांनी व्यक्त केला आहे. “सलील नेहमीच झुंजार वृत्तीचा राहिला आहे, तो या संकटातून अधिक कणखर होऊन बाहेर येईल,” असे रिया म्हणाली.
