ऑक्सफर्डने चाचणी सुरु ठेवणार असल्याचे म्हटले आहे. क्लिनिकल ट्रायल म्हणजे मानवी चाचणीच्या सुरक्षिततेबद्दल कुठलीही शंका नाही, असे ऑक्सफर्डचे म्हणणे आहे. मागच्या महिन्यात ब्रिटनमध्ये एका व्यक्तीला लसीचे डोस दिल्यानंतर दुष्परिणाम दिसले होते. त्यानंतर जगभरात ऑक्सफर्डच्या लसीच्या चाचण्या स्थगित करण्यात आल्या होत्या. लसीच्या सुरक्षिततेचा आढावा घेतल्यानंतर पुन्हा चाचण्या सुरु झाल्या. एका आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील वृत्तसंस्थेने हे वृत्त दिले आहे.
\nस्वयंसेवकाला ट्रायल व्हॅक्सीन न देता प्लेसीबो देण्यात आले होते, असे ओ ग्लोबो या ब्राझीलियन वर्तमानपत्राने म्हटले आहे. चाचणीत सहभागी झालेल्या स्वयंसेवकांच्या वैद्यकीय माहितीबद्दल गुप्तता बाळगण्याच्या धोरणानुसार, अनविसाने सविस्तर माहिती दिलेली नाही. अस्त्राझेनेकाने यावर लगेच प्रतिक्रिया दिलेली नाही.
\nब्राझीलमध्ये फेज तीनच्या मानवी चाचणीसाठी मदत करणाऱ्या साओ पावलोमधील फेडरल विद्यापीठाने स्वयंसेवक ब्राझीलियन होता, पण तो कुठे राहत होता याबद्दल काहीही माहिती दिलेली नाही. या बातमीनंतर अस्त्राझेनेकाचा शेअर १.७ टक्क्यांनी कोसळला. ऑक्सफर्डने विकसित केलेल्या लसीची जगभरात चाचणी सुरु आहे. भारतातही या लशीच्या दुसऱ्या आणि तिसऱ्या फेजच्या चाचण्या सुरु आहेत. अमेरिकेनंतर ब्राझीलला करोना व्हायरसचा सर्वाधिक फटका बसला आहे. तिथे एक लाख ५४ हजार नागरिकांचा करोनामुळे मृत्यू झाला आहे.
