दरम्यान, उमा भारती म्हणाल्या, ‘ उत्तराखंडच्या चमोली जिल्ह्यात नंदादेवी हिमकडा उर्जा प्रकल्पाजवळ हिमकडा तुटल्याने ऋषिगंगा नदीवर बनवण्यात आलेला वीजप्रकल्प पूर्णपणे नष्ट झाला. या पुराचे पाणी वेगाने पुढे सरकत आहे. मी गंगा मातेला प्रार्थना करते की तिने सर्वांचं रक्षण करावं. तिने सर्व प्राण्यांचे संरक्षण करावं अशी मी प्रार्थना करते” असं ट्विट केलं आहे.
\nतत्पूर्वी,उत्तराखंडचे मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्रसिंह रावत यांनी जिल्हा प्रशासन, पोलिस आणि आपत्कालीन व्यवस्थापन विभागाला या परिस्थितीतून मार्ग काढण्याचे आदेश दिले आहेत. कोणत्याही अफवांवर नागरिकांनी विश्वास ठेवू नये, आवश्यक उपाय योजना करण्याचे आदेश दिले आहेत.
\nउत्तर प्रदेश सरकारने गंगा नदीच्या किनाऱ्यावर असणाऱ्या सर्व जिल्ह्यांना सतर्कतेचा आदेश दिला आहे. पाण्याच्या पातळीवर सातत्याने लक्ष ठेवण्याचे आदेश दिले आहेत.
