बॉलिवूड आणि अनेक दाक्षिणात्य चित्रपटांमध्ये काम केलेला अभिनेता सिद्धार्थने स्टार सायना नेहवालवर आक्षेपार्ह टिप्पणी केल्याने हा वाद सुरु झाला होता. झालं असं होतं की, पंजाबमध्ये पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदींच्या सुरक्षेतील त्रुटींसंबंधी ट्वीट करताना भाजपा सदस्य असणाऱ्या सायना नेहवालने “कोणतेही राष्ट्र स्वत:च्या पंतप्रधानांच्या सुरक्षेशी तडजोड करत असेल तर ते सुरक्षित असल्याचा दावा करू शकत नाही. मी अराजकवाद्यांनी पंतप्रधान मोदींवर केलेल्या भ्याड हल्ल्याचा तीव्र निषेध करते,” असे म्हटले होते.
\nसायना नेहवालच्या या ट्वीटवर प्रतिक्रिया देताना सिद्धार्थने दुहेरी अर्थाचा शब्द वापरला होता. “S**e ck जागतिक विजेती नशिब आपल्याकडे भारताचे संरक्षण करणारे आहेत. #Rihanna तुला लाज वाटली पाहिजे.” असे अभिनेता सिद्धार्थने म्हटले होते. त्याच्या या ट्वीटवरुन वाद सुरु झाला होता. प्रकरण इतकं वाढलं की राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोगानेही याची दखल घेत गुन्हा नोंद करण्याचे आदेश दिले होते.
