\nलोकसभा निवणुकीनंतर झालेल्या मंत्रिपदाच्या विस्ताराबद्दल बोलताना श्रीकांत शिंदे म्हणाले की, “लोकसभा निवडणुकीनंतरही मला केंद्र सरकारमध्ये मंत्रिपदाची संधी होती. मात्र पक्षसंघटनेसाठी काम करण्याचा विचार करून मी तेव्हाही मंत्रिपदाला नकार दिला होता. सत्तेतल्या पदाची मला कुठलीही लालसा नाही. राज्यातील सत्तेत कोणत्याही मंत्रिपदाच्या शर्यतीत मी नाही, हे पुन्हा एकदा स्पष्ट करतो. माझा लोकसभा मतदारसंघ आणि शिवसेना या पक्षासाठीच नेटाने काम करणार आहे.”असे महंत सर्व आरोप फेटाळून लावले आहेत.
