विधिमंडळात गोंधळ
\nदरम्यान, अबू आझमी यांचे निलंबन करण्याच्या मागणीसाठी सत्ताधारी सदस्यांनी मंगळवारी विधिमंडळात गोंधळ घालत कामकाज बंद पाडले होते. विधानसभेत यावरून जोरदार गदारोळ करत घोषणाबाजी देखील करण्यात आली. ‘औरंगजेब हा उत्तम प्रशासक होता’ हे आझमींचे वक्तव्य अतिशय गंभीर असून त्यांचे सदस्यत्व अधिवेशन संपेपर्यंत निलंबित करण्यात यावे. तसेच त्यांना या कालावधीत विधानभवन आवारात प्रवेशबंदी करण्यात यावी, अशा आशयाचा प्रस्ताव संसदीय कार्यमंत्री चंद्रकांत पाटील यांनी मांडला. \nकाय म्हणाले होते अबू आझमी ?
\nअबू आझमी यांनी औरंगजेबचे कौतुक केले होते. “औरंगजेब हा उत्तम प्रशासक होता. त्याने अनेक मंदिरं बांधली होती. तो उत्तम प्रशासक होता, त्याच्या काळात भारताची जीडीपी सर्वात जास्त होती. छत्रपती संभाजी महाराज आणि औरंगजेबमध्ये धर्माची लढाई नव्हती, देशात सध्या औरंगजेबाची प्रतिमा चुकीच्या पद्धतीनं रंगवली जात आहे,” असे वक्तव्य आझमी यांनी केले होते.
