\nदरम्यान, मनू भाकरने रविवारी महिलांच्या 10 मीटर एयर पिस्तूल या प्रकारांत कांस्य पदक जिंकले होते. या पदकाने ती ऑलिम्पिक पदक मिळविणारी भारताची पहिली महिला खेळाडू झाली होती. तिने 12 वर्षांनंतर भारताला ऑलिम्पिक शूटिंग रेंजवर पदक मिळवून दिले आहे. आजच्या कामगिरीने मनूला दुहेरी ऑलिम्पिक पदक मिळविण्याची सुवर्णसंधी मिळाली आहे.
