हिंदुहृदयसम्राट शिवसेनाप्रमुख बाळासाहेब ठाकरे यांच्या स्मृतीदिनानिमित्त “वारसा विचारांचा – स्वातंत्र्यवीर सावरकर ते बाळासाहेब ठाकरे’ या विषयावर दादरच्या स्वातंत्र्यवीर सावरकर सभागृह येथे परिसंवादाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. या कार्यक्रमाला उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस, शालेय शिक्षण मंत्री दीपक केसरकर, दादाजी भुसे, गुलाबराव पाटील, उद्योगमंत्री उदय सामंत उपस्थित होते.
\nएकनाथ शिंदे म्हणाले, राम मंदिर आंदोलन असो, जम्मू काश्मीरमधील 370 कलम हटवणे असो किंवा अमरनाथ यात्रेला झालेला विरोध असो हिंदुत्ववादी विचारापासून त्यांनी कधीही फारकत घेतली नाही. स्वातंत्र्यवीर सावरकरांच्या अंदमानातील शिल्पावरील वाक्य हटवल्यानंतर तत्कालीन केंद्रीय मंत्री मणीशंकर अय्यर यांच्याविरोधात जोडे मारो आंदोलन त्यांनी केले होते याची आठवण याप्रसंगी करून दिली.

बाळासाहेबांचा हाच वारसा पुढे घेऊन जाण्याचे काम आज बाळासाहेबांची शिवसेना करत असून त्यानुसार अफझल खानाच्या कबरीजवळील अतिक्रमण हटवणे असो, अशा अनेक लोकोपयोगी निर्णयातून बाळासाहेबांना आणि स्वातंत्र्यवीर सावरकरांना अभिमान वाटेल असेच काम हे युती सरकार करत असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.
