दिल्ली अग्निशमन दलाचे सहाय्यक विभागीय अधिकारी राजेश शुक्ला यांनी या आगीबाबत माहिती देताना सांगितले की, “एकूण 105 दुकाने पेटले आहेत, या भागाला तेह बाजारी म्हणतात. शॉर्टसर्किटमुळे आग लागल्याचे नागरिकांचे म्हणणे आहे. या आगीमध्ये कोणतीही जीवितहानी किंवा दुखापत झाली नाही. आग विझवण्यात आली असून कूलिंगचे काम सद्या सुरु आहे.
\nअग्निशमन दलासह स्थानिक लोकही मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित असून त्यांनीही मदतकार्यात हातभार लावला आहे. अग्निशमन विभागाने सांगितले की, आम्हाला आगीची माहिती पहाटे 5.45च्या सुमारास मिळाली. या अपघातात कोट्यवधी रुपयांचे नुकसान होण्याची शक्यता आहे.
\nदिल्लीतील चांदणी चौक हा बाजार देशभर प्रसिद्ध आहे. इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वस्तूंशिवाय येथे कपड्यांची दुकानेही मोठ्या प्रमाणात आहेत. या बाजारात दररोज लाखो लोक खरेदीसाठी येतात. चांदणी चौक हा पराठा गल्ली म्हणूनही प्रसिद्ध आहे.
