सलमान खान आपल्या सोशल मीडियावर नेहमी सक्रिय असतो. सलमानने प्रजासत्ताक दिनानिमित्त सर्वांना शुभेच्छा देण्यासाठी एक ट्विट देखील केले. आपल्या ट्विटमध्ये सलमान म्हणतो,”प्रजासत्ताक दिनाच्या सर्वांना शुभेच्छा… जय हिंद !” सलमान खानने हे ट्विट काल म्हणजेच प्रजासत्ताक दिनाच्या दिवशी सायंकाळी सव्वा पाच वाजण्याच्या सुमारास केले. यावरूनच अनेकांनी त्याच्यावर रोष व्यक्त करत ट्रोलिंगला सुरुवात केल्याचे दिसून आले.
सलमानने लेट ट्विट केल्यामुळे अनेकांनी त्याला कमेंट करून सुनावलं आहे. “सकाळी कुठं होता भावा” अशी कमेंट एका युजरने केली आहे. तर दुसऱ्याने भाई इतनी जल्दी.. असं म्हणत सलमानला टोला लगावला आहे. तर आणखी एकाने भाईजान की सुबह हो गयी असं म्हणत ट्विट केलं आहे.
