आरती सिंहने शेफालीच्या कुटुंबाचाही उल्लेख केला. तिने लिहिले, ‘मला काका आणि काकूंची काळजी वाटते. त्यांना असे पाहून माझे मन तळमळतं. पराग भैय्याने तुला कसे मुलासारखे ठेवले आणि तुझे लाड केले हे मी पाहिले आहे. आपण रडू, शोक करू, पण पुढे जाऊ, पण तुझे कुटुंब आयुष्यभर हे दुःख सहन करेल. मी असे म्हणू इच्छित नाही की तू स्वर्गात किंवा एखाद्या चांगल्या ठिकाणी जा. कारण ही वेळ तुझ्यासाठी जाण्याची नव्हती. तू नेहमीच माझी खास मैत्रीण राहशील. मी प्रार्थना करते की तू आनंदी राहा आणि तुझ्या कुटुंबाला धैर्य मिळो. माझी शेफू’, असे तिने पोस्टमध्ये लिहिले आहे.
\nदरम्यान, शेफालीने २००२ मध्ये प्रदर्शित झालेल्या कांटा लगा या आयकॉनिक म्युझिक व्हिडिओने तिचा ठसा उमटवला. या गाण्याच्या यशामुळे देशात रीमिक्स संगीताचे एक नवे युग सुरू झाले. शेफालीने यानंतर अनेक टीव्ही मालिकांमध्ये आणि प्रोजेक्ट्समध्येही काम केले. तिथे तिच्या अभिनयाचे खूप कौतुक झाले. तिने वाइल्ड कार्ड एन्ट्रीद्वारे बिग बॉस सीझन १३ मध्ये भाग घेतला. याशिवाय शेफालीने ‘नच बलिये सीझन ५’ मध्येही भाग घेतला.
