नवी दिल्ली – माजी कायदामंत्री राम जेठमलानी यांच्या निधनाुळे भारताने कार्यशिल वकील गमावला असल्याची भावना पंतप्रधान मोदींनी व्यक्त केली आहे. “आणीबाणीच्या काळात लोकांच्या स्वातंत्र्यासाठी विचलित न होता त्यांनी लढा दिला होता. त्यासाठी ते कायम आपल्या स्मरणात राहतील”, अशा शब्दांमध्ये मोदींंनी ट्विटरवरून जेठमलानी यांना श्रद्धांजली वाहिली आहे.

मोदी म्हणतात की  “जेठमलानी यांच्या जाण्यामुळे भारताने अनन्य साधारण वकील गमावला आहे. जेठमलानी हे असं आदर्श व्यक्तिमत्त्व होत ज्यांनी वकिली आणि संसद या दोन्हींमध्ये अमूल्य योगदान दिले. त्यांचा स्वभाव धाडसी आणि विनोदी होता. तसेच ते कोणत्याही विषयावर बिनधास्त मत मांडायचे”

One of the best aspects of Shri Ram Jethmalani Ji was the ability to speak his mind. And, he did so without any fear. During the dark days of the Emergency, his fortitude and fight for public liberties will be remembered. Helping the needy was an integral part of his persona.
