श्रीलंकेविरुद्धच्या दारुण पराभवानंतर टीम साउथीने न्यूझीलंड संघाचे कर्णधारपद सोडले. भारत दौऱ्यावर टॉम लॅथम संघाचे नेतृत्व करणार आहे. अनुभवी वेगवान गोलंदाज साउथीने संघातील आपले स्थान कायम ठेवले आहे. कर्णधारपदाचा राजीनामा देताना साउथीनं म्हटलं होतं की, माझ्या कारकिर्दीत मी संघाला नेहमीच प्राधान्य दिले आहे. येत्या काळात मला माझ्या खेळावर जास्त लक्ष केंद्रित करायचे असून सातत्याने बळी घेऊन न्यूझीलंडच्या विजयात योगदान देवू इच्छितो.
\nपहिला कसोटी सामना 16 ते 20 ऑक्टोबर दरम्यान बेंगळुरूच्या एम चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियमवर तर दुसरा सामना 24 ते 28 ऑक्टोबर दरम्यान पुण्यात खेळवला जाईल. तिसरी आणि शेवटची कसोटी 1 ते 5 नोव्हेंबर दरम्यान मुंबईतील वानखेडे स्टेडियमवर होणार आहे.
