आंध्रच्या दृष्टीने दोन्ही निवडणुकांसाठी एकाच वेळी मतदान होणार असल्याने चौथ्या टप्प्याला मोठे महत्व प्राप्त झाले आहे. त्या राज्यात लोकसभेच्या २५ आणि विधानसभेच्या १७५ जागा आहेत. आंध्रखालोखाल तेलंगणातील लोकसभेच्या सर्व १७ जागांसाठी आणि उत्तरप्रदेशातील १३ जागांसाठी मतदान होईल.

कन्नौजमधून अखिलेश यादव (एसपी) विरुद्ध सुब्रत पाठक (भाजप), हैदराबादमध्ये असदुद्दीन ओवेसी (AIMIM) विरुद्ध माधवी लता (भाजप), काकडीत अजय मिश्रा टेनी (भाजप)- उत्कर्ष वर्मा (सपा), उन्नावमध्ये साक्षी महाराज (भाजप) – अनु टंडन (एसपी) तर कानपूररमेश अवस्थी (भाजप) – आलोक मिश्रा (काँग्रेस) यांच्यात लढत होत आहे.

महाराष्ट्रातील पुणे, शिरूर, मावळ, अहमदनगर, छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, शिर्डी, बीड, नंदुरबार, जळगाव, रावेर आणि जालना मतदारसंघांमधील मतदार त्यांचा हक्क बजावतील. चौथ्या टप्प्यात महाराष्ट्रात २९८ उमेदवारांचे भवितव्य ठरेल. सोमवारी मध्यप्रदेशातील ८, पश्चिम बंगालमधील ८, बिहारमधील ५, ओडिशा आणि झारखंडमधील प्रत्येकी ४ जागांसाठी मतदान होईल. त्याशिवाय, जम्मू-काश्मीरमधील एका जागेसाठी मतदान होणार आहे. चौथ्या टप्प्यातील लोकसभेच्या ९६ जागांसाठी एकूण १ हजार ७१७ उमेदवार नशीब आजमावत आहेत.
