\nपश्चिम बंगालमधील लोकसभा निवडणुकीच्या सातव्या आणि शेवटच्या टप्प्यातील नऊ जागांसाठी शनिवारी कडक सुरक्षा व्यवस्थेत मतदान सुरू आहे. दमदम, बारासत, बशीरहाट, जयनगर, मथुरापूर, डायमंड हार्बर, जादवपूर, कोलकाता दक्षिण आणि कोलकाता उत्तर या मतदारसंघात संध्याकाळी ६ वाजेपर्यंत मतदान सुरू राहणार आहे.
17,470 मतदान केंद्रांवर 83.19 लाख पुरुष, 80.20 लाख स्त्रिया आणि 538 तृतीय लिंगाच्या व्यक्तींसह एकूण 1.63 कोटी मतदार आपला मतदानाचा हक्क बजावणार आहेत.

निवडणूक आयोगाने अंतिम टप्प्यासाठी 33,000 राज्य पोलिसांसह केंद्रीय दलाच्या 967 कंपन्या तैनात केल्या आहेत, अधिकाऱ्याने सांगितले की, कोलकातामध्ये 11,000 राज्य पोलिसांसह केंद्रीय दलाच्या 246 कंपन्या तैनात केल्या जातील. केंद्रीय दलाच्या एकूण 384 कंपन्या दक्षिण 24 परगणा जिल्ह्यात तैनात केल्या जातील, तर 116 कंपन्या बसीरहाटमध्ये ड्युटीवर असतील.
