K Annamalai : तामिळनाडू भाजपचे माजी प्रदेशाध्यक्ष आणि ‘वी द लीडर्स’ आंदोलनाचे संस्थापक के. अन्नामलाई यांनी दिल्लीतील निवडणूक आयोग आणि SIR विरोधातील आंदोलनावरून अटक केलेल्या CJP नेत्यांच्या समर्थनार्थ भूमिका मांडली आहे. CJP संस्थापक अभिजीत दीपके आणि विद्यार्थी नेत्यांच्या अटकेबाबत त्यांनी दिल्ली पोलिसांच्या कारवाईवर प्रश्न उपस्थित केले.

अन्नामलाई म्हणाले की, CJPच्या आंदोलनाच्या पद्धतीशी ते पूर्णपणे सहमत नसले तरी सरकारसमोर उपस्थित केलेले प्रश्न योग्य आहेत. या प्रश्नांची उत्तरे देणे ही सरकारची जबाबदारी आहे. नियमभंगाच्या आरोपावरून नेत्यांना अटक करून तुरुंगातील त्यांच्या वागणुकीवरून वाद निर्माण करणे योग्य नाही. अशा कारवाईमुळे CJP नेते आणखी मजबूत होतील आणि देशाच्या व्यवस्थेचे नुकसान होईल, असे त्यांनी म्हटले.

And it is very important that our leaders and our citizens rise up to that standard that we have always kept for ourselves.”

On Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju’s statement regarding delimitation, he says, “The central government has a responsibility, that is, to be very open in terms of how they want to do the delimitation. I continuously keep saying that India needs delimitation… The delimitation should also be fair, especially for the states in the southern part of our country, which have controlled population to the greatest extent… it is the duty of the central government not to do it in a hush-hush way… I hope the Prime Minister will look into it and take everybody along…”

On CJP, he says, “I’m a little bit concerned in our country. I have a feeling they (Delhi Police) have taken the law into their hands, and the judge gets recused… I may not agree with many of the CJP’s modes of protest. I may not agree with some of the antics of CJP. That’s a different argument. But I completely support CJP in terms of the questions they want to raise… It is for the government to answer. But to arrest them for a violation and again to drag them in terms of how they spend their time in jail, that is only going to make the leaders of CJP stronger. I’m afraid of it… the Delhi police are doing a real disservice…”

परिसीमनाबाबत दक्षिणेकडील राज्यांच्या हिताची बाजू –

केंद्रीय मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू यांच्या परिसीमनासंदर्भातील वक्तव्यावरही अन्नामलाई यांनी भूमिका मांडली. भारताला परिसीमनाची गरज आहे; मात्र ही प्रक्रिया पारदर्शक आणि निष्पक्ष असावी, असे ते म्हणाले. लोकसंख्या नियंत्रणात ठेवणाऱ्या दक्षिण भारतातील राज्यांवर अन्याय होऊ नये, अशी अपेक्षा त्यांनी व्यक्त केली.

परिसीमनाची प्रक्रिया घाईघाईने किंवा गुप्त पद्धतीने करू नये. पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी या विषयाकडे लक्ष देऊन सर्व राज्यांना सोबत घ्यावे, असे अन्नामलाई म्हणाले.

मोहन भागवतांच्या वक्तव्याचे स्वागत –

राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघाचे सरसंघचालक मोहन भागवत यांच्या विजयादशमीच्या भाषणाचेही अन्नामलाई यांनी स्वागत केले. भारत हा सर्व समुदायांचा देश आहे. भारतात मुस्लिम किंवा इतर धर्मीयांसाठी जागा नाही, असे म्हणणारा हिंदू चुकीचा आहे, असे भागवत यांनी म्हटल्याचे अन्नामलाई यांनी सांगितले.

जग भारत आणि भारतीय संस्कृतीकडे उत्सुकतेने पाहत आहे. त्यामुळे भारताने जगासमोर चांगले उदाहरण ठेवणे आणि नेते व नागरिकांनी त्यानुसार जबाबदारीने वागणे गरजेचे आहे, असेही त्यांनी सांगितले.
