इंद्रजित सिंह बिंद्रा यांनी १९९३ ते १९९६ या काळात बीसीसीआयचे अध्यक्ष म्हणून काम पाहिले. १९८७ आणि १९९६ चा क्रिकेट विश्वचषक भारतात आयोजित करण्यात त्यांचा सिंहाचा वाटा होता. त्यांनी जगमोहन दालमिया यांच्यासोबत मिळून आशियाई देशांचे क्रिकेटमधील महत्त्व वाढवले.

\nतसेच, पंजाब क्रिकेट असोसिएशनला एका नव्या उंचीवर नेण्याचे श्रेयही त्यांनाच जाते. मोहालीतील जागतिक दर्जाचे क्रिकेट स्टेडियम त्यांच्याच कल्पनेतून साकारले गेले आहे. याशिवाय इंद्रजीत सिंग बिंद्रा यांनी भारताचे सातवे राष्ट्रपती ज्ञानी झैल सिंग यांचे विशेष सचिव म्हणून काम पाहिले.
