\nअधिकाऱ्यांनी सांगितले की, ही आग इमारतीच्या पहिल्या मजल्यावर लागली आणि त्यानंतर वेगाने वरच्या मजल्यांवर पसरली. ही घटना घडली तेव्हा काही कर्मचारी दुपारचे जेवण करत होते, तर अनेक जण इमारतीबाहेर होते. Kompas TV वर दाखवलेल्या फुटेजमध्ये अग्निशमन दलाचे जवान लोकांना बाहेर काढण्यास मदत करताना दिसले. काही लोकांना वाचवण्यासाठी पोर्टेबल शिड्यांचाही वापर करण्यात आला.
\nसध्या आगीवर नियंत्रण मिळवण्यात आले आहे, आणि अधिकारी अजूनही लोकांना बाहेर काढण्यावर आणि सुरक्षेवर लक्ष केंद्रित करत आहेत. आग लागण्याचे नेमके कारण अद्याप समजू शकलेले नाही, या प्रकरणाचा तपास सुरू आहे.
\nदरम्यान, इंडोनेशियातील ही आग गेल्या महिन्यात हाँगकाँगच्या ताई पो जिल्ह्यात लागलेल्या भीषण आगीनंतर घडली आहे, ज्यात सुमारे 160 लोकांचा मृत्यू झाला होता.
