\nगोव्याचे मुख्यमंत्री प्रमोद सावंत काल रात्री उशिरा परिस्थितीचा आढावा घेण्यासाठी घटनास्थळी पोहोचले. त्यांनी माध्यमांना सांगितले की, “गोव्यासारख्या पर्यटन राज्यासाठी ही एक अतिशय दुःखद घटना आहे. प्राथमिक तपासात असे आढळून आले आहे की क्लबमध्ये सुरक्षा मानकांचे पालन करण्यात आले नाही. अशा निष्काळजीपणासाठी जबाबदार असलेल्यांवर कठोर कारवाई केली जाईल.” आगीचे नेमके कारण शोधण्यासाठी सखोल चौकशी केली जाईल, असे त्यांनी सांगितले. स्थानिक अधिकाऱ्यांचे म्हणणे आहे की या घटनेत कोणताही पर्यटक मृत्युमुखी पडला नाही; मृतांमध्ये बहुतेक क्लब कर्मचारी होते जे आत काम करत होते.
