घटनास्थळी झालेल्या वादानंतर आपली भूमिका स्पष्ट करताना माधवी जाधव म्हणाल्या की, “पालकमंत्र्यांनी आपल्या भाषणात डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांचे नाव घेतले नाही. ज्यांनी संविधान दिले, लोकशाही घडवली, त्या व्यक्तीचे नाव वगळणे ही फार मोठी चूक आहे. मला सस्पेंड केलं तरी चालेल, पण मी माफी मागणार नाही.
\n\nमी मीडियाशी घेणं-देणं ठेवत नाही. मला वाळूच्या गाड्या उतरवायला लावल्या, मातीचं काम दिलं तरी मी करेन. पण बाबासाहेबांची ओळख पुसली जाऊ देणार नाही. त्यांनी आपली चूक स्वीकारावी,” असे देखील त्यांनी म्हटले. Girish Mahajan :
