\nलातूर महानगरपालिकेच्या निवडणुकीच्या प्रचारादरम्यान, भाजप प्रदेशाध्यक्ष रविंद्र चव्हाण यांनी दिवंगत मुख्यमंत्री विलासराव देशमुख यांच्याबद्दल केलेल्या वक्तव्याने जिल्ह्याच्या राजकारणातून संताप व्यक्त केला जाऊ लागला. “भाजपा कार्यकर्त्यांचा उत्साह पाहिल्यास विलासरावांच्या आठवणी या शहरातून पुसल्या जातील असा विश्वास वाटतोय,” असं वक्तव्य चव्हाण यांनी केल्यामुळे नवा राजकीय वाद निर्माण झाला आहे. \nयासंदर्भात विलासराव देशमुखांचे पुत्र अमित देशमुख, अभिनेता रितेश देशमुख यांनी प्रतिक्रिया देत सदर विधानाचा निषेध केला. त्यानंतर चव्हाण यांनी दिलगिरी देखील व्यक्त केली. त्यानंतर लातूर बंदची हाक देण्यात आली आहे. आज फडणवीसांची जाहीर सभा असतानाच ही हाक देण्यात आल्याने शहरातील राजकीय वातावरण अधिक तापण्याची शक्यता आहे. त्याचदरम्यान, अमित देशमुख यांनी लातूर बंद न करण्याचे आवाहन विलासराव यांच्या समर्थकांना केलं.
