युक्रेनवर रशियाच्या हल्ल्यानंतर युद्धग्रस्त देशात (युक्रेन) अडकलेल्या भारतीय विद्यार्थ्यांना मायदेशी आणल्याबद्दल आणि कोविड-19 साथीच्या आजाराच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर देशात लागू करण्यात आलेल्या लॉकडाऊननंतर परदेशात अडकलेल्या भारतीय विद्यार्थ्यांना घरी आणल्याबद्दल संरक्षणमंत्र्यांनी मोदींचे कौतुक केले.
\nते म्हणाले, “मोदींच्या ‘मेक इन इंडिया’ कॉलने संरक्षण क्षेत्रात बदल घडवून आणला आहे. आपली संरक्षण निर्यात जी 900 कोटी रुपयांची होती, ती आता 16,000 कोटी रुपयांची झाली आहे. येत्या दोन वर्षांत हीच निर्यात 35,000 कोटी रुपयांपर्यंत नेण्यासाठी आम्ही वचनबद्ध आहोत. एकूण संरक्षण उत्पादन 1.10 लाख कोटी रुपयांवर पोहोचल्याचे राजनाथ यांनी नमूद केले.
\nराजनाथ पुढे म्हणाले की, देशाचा सांस्कृतिक मुळांशी संबंध वाढत असून परदेशी लोक अनेकदा ‘इंडिया’ ऐवजी ‘भारत’ शब्द वापरत असल्याचेही त्यांनी नमूद केले. केंद्रात नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील सरकार स्थापन झाल्यानंतरच्या कालखंडाचा संदर्भ देत राजनाथ म्हणाले की 2014 मध्ये भारत जगातील पहिल्या 10 अर्थव्यवस्थांच्या यादीत तळाशी होता, परंतु त्यानंतर अल्पावधीतच देश आता पहिल्या पाचमध्ये तो आला आहे.
