पोलीस कॉन्स्टेबल जितेंद्र पाल सिंह यांचा विकास दुबेकडून करण्यात आलेल्या गोळीबारात मृत्यू झाला होता. त्यांच्या वडिलांनी प्रतिक्रिया देताना म्हटले आहे की, उत्तर प्रदेश पोलिसांचा मला अभिमान आहे. आज पोलिसांनी जे काही केले आहे त्यामुळे माझ्या आत्म्याला समाधान मिळालं आहे. मी पोलीस प्रशासन आणि योगी सरकारचे आभार मानतो.
\nउत्तर प्रदेशातील आठ पोलिसांची हत्या करणाऱ्या कुख्यात गुंड विकास दुबे याला ठार करण्यात आले आहे. विकास दुबेला अटक केल्यानंतर विशेष पथक त्याला घेऊन कानपूरला चालले होते. यावेळी पोलिसांच्या ताफ्यातील एका वाहनचा अपघात झाला. यानंतर विकास दुबेने पळून जाण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. विकास दुबे याने पोलिसांचे शस्त्र घेऊन गोळीबार करण्यास सुरुवात केली. पोलिसांनी विकास दुबेला आत्मसमर्पण करण्यास सांगितले. यादरम्यान झालेल्या चकमकीत पोलिसांनी विकास दुबेला ठार केले. विकास दुबेचा मृत्यू झाल्याची माहिती एका वृत्तसंस्थेने दिली आहे.
