एका मुलाखतीत मिथिलानं सांगितलं की, “हा माझा पहिला मोठा कॉमेडी सिनेमा असल्यामुळे थोडी भीती होती. कॉमेडी करणं सोपं नसतं. मात्र वीर दासचं मार्गदर्शन खूप उपयोगी ठरलं. ‘जाणीवपूर्वक विनोद करू नकोस, संवाद प्रामाणिकपणे म्हण, विनोद आपोआप तयार होईल’ असा सल्ला त्यानं दिला.”
\nचित्रपटाच्या सेटवरील अनुभव सांगताना मिथिला म्हणाली की, या सिनेमाच्या शूटिंगदरम्यान एक महत्त्वाचा नियम पाळण्यात येत होता. तो म्हणजे सेटवर मोबाईल फोन वापरण्यास मनाई होती. “आजकाल मोबाईलमुळे प्रत्येक जण आपापल्या जगात असतो. मात्र या सेटवर आम्ही सगळे एकमेकांशी संवाद साधत होतो. गप्पा, गाणी, खेळ, एकत्र जेवण अशा गोष्टींमुळे टीम म्हणून काम करत असल्याची भावना निर्माण झाली,” असं ती म्हणाली.
\nइतकंच नव्हे तर या चित्रपटासाठी कलाकारांची वैयक्तिक हेअर-मेकअप टीमही नव्हती. सगळ्यांसाठी एकच कॉमन मेकअप टीम होती आणि सर्व कलाकार एकाच व्हॅनिटी व्हॅनचा वापर करत होते. त्यामुळे कलाकार आणि क्रू मेंबर्स यांच्यात अधिक आपुलकीचं आणि सकारात्मक वातावरण तयार झाल्याचं मिथिलानं सांगितलं.
\n‘हॅपी पटेल’ या चित्रपटात मिथिला पालकरसह मोना सिंग आणि शरीब हाश्मी यांच्याही महत्त्वाच्या भूमिका आहेत. आमिर खान निर्मित हा चित्रपट १६ जानेवारी रोजी प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला येणार आहे.
