मोठ्या बजेटच्या सिनेमांना ‘त्या’ कुत्र्याची उपमा!
\nवर्मा यांनी आपल्या पोस्टमध्ये एक रंजक उदाहरण दिले आहे. ते म्हणतात, “समजा तुम्ही कुणाच्या घरी गेलात आणि तिथे एक मोठा, भयानक कुत्रा तुमच्याकडे टक लावून पाहत आहे. मालक कितीही म्हणाला की तो काही करणार नाही, तरी तुमचा ताण कमी होत नाही. ‘धुरंधर‘ हा सिनेमादेखील असाच एक भयानक कुत्रा ठरेल, जो इथल्या प्रत्येक बिग बजेट सिनेमाच्या कार्यालयात अदृश्यपणे फिरत राहील. निर्माते त्याचं नाव घेणं टाळतील, पण तो त्यांच्या मनात कायम घुटमळत राहील.”
राम गोपाल वर्मा यांच्या मते, ज्या निर्मात्यांचा विश्वास फक्त VFX, महागडे सेट्स, आयटम साँग्स आणि ठोकळेबाज हिरोगिरीवर होता, त्यांच्यासाठी ‘धुरंधर’ हा एखाद्या ‘हॉरर सिनेमा’पेक्षा कमी नाही. या सिनेमात कलाकारांच्या प्रतिमेपेक्षा सिनेमाच्या आशयाला महत्त्व दिले गेले आहे. आदित्य धरने बॉलिवूडला आरसा दाखवला असून त्यांचे स्वतःचे चित्रपट किती पोकळ आहेत, याची जाणीव करून दिली आहे.
