दरम्यान, रिलायन्स जीओसोबत केलेल्या भागीदारीबाबत गुगलचे सीईओ सुंदर पिचाई यांनी माहिती देताना,  “प्रत्येकाला इंटरनेटचा ऍक्सेस असणे आवश्यक आहे. गुगल फॉर इंडिया डिजिटायझेशन या फंडातून आम्ही रिलायन्स जिओ सोबत ४.५ बिलियन डॉलर्सची गुंतवणूक करीत आहोत. याद्वारे भारतातील स्मार्टफोन नसलेल्या कोट्यवधी लोकांना इंटरनेट ऍक्सेस देण्याचे आमचे उद्दिष्ट आहे.” असं स्पष्ट केलं.

जिओ ५ जी बाबतही घोषणा                                                                                                                       “रिलायन्स जीओने जागतिक दर्जाची ५ जी सुविधा उभारली आहे. ५ जी स्पेक्ट्रम उपलब्ध होताच याबाबतच्या चाचण्या घेऊन पुढील वर्षापर्यंत ५ जी ग्राहकांना उपलब्ध करून देण्यात येईल.” अशी माहिती मुकेश अंबानी यांनी दिली.
