देशात एकूण करोनाबाधित रुग्णांची संख्या १६ लाख ९५ हजार ९८८ इतकी झाली आहे. ५० हजारांनी वाढणारी करोनाबाधित रुग्णांची संख्या आता ६० हजारांच्या जवळ गेली आहे. भारतात सध्या पाच लाख ६५ हजार १०३ करोनाबाधित रुग्णांवर उपचार सुरु आहेत. दिलासादायक बाब म्हणजे १० लाख ९४ हजार ३७४ जणांनी करोनावर मात केली आहे.
\nदेशात आतापर्यंत ३६ हजार ५११ करोनाबाधित रुग्णांचा मृत्यू झाला आहे. चिंताजनक बाब म्हणजे, फक्त जुलै महिन्यात भारतामध्ये ११.१ लाख करोनाबाधित रुग्ण आढळले असून १९ हजार १२२ जणांना संसर्गामुळे मृत्यू झाला आहे. देशात करोनामुळे मरण पावणाऱ्यांच्या एकूण संख्येपैकी ४९ टक्के मृत्यू २० शहरांमध्ये झाले आहेत. या शहरात करोना संक्रमणाच्या सरासरीतही वाढ झालेली आहे. दुसरीकडे आरोग्य मंत्रालयाच्या माहितीनुसार ३० जूनपर्यंत देशात ५ लाख ६६ हजार ८४० इतकी करोना रुग्णांची संख्या होती. जुलै महिन्यात यात सर्वाधिक भर पडली आहे. जून महिन्याच्या तुलनेत जुलै महिन्यात करोनाबाधितांच्या संख्येत २.८ टक्क्यांनी वाढ झाली.
