दरम्यान, याआधी 14 जूनला ‘इमर्जन्सी’ प्रदर्शित होणार होता. पण लोकसभा निवडणुकीत कंगनाला भाजपकडून हिमाचल प्रदेशच्या मंडी लोकसभा निवडणुकीचे तिकीट मिळाले. त्यामुळे कंगना प्रचारात आणि मतदारसंघातील कामात व्यस्त होती. त्यामुळे या चित्रपटाची रिलीज डेट पुढे ढकण्यात आली होती. अखेर 6 सप्टेंबरला ‘इमर्जन्सी’ चित्रपट प्रदर्शित होणार आहे.
\nदरम्यान, कंगनाने ‘इमर्जन्सी’चे दिग्दर्शनही केले असून या चित्रपटाचे लेखन रितेश शाह यांनी केले आहे. मिलिंद सोमण, महिमा चौधरी, श्रेयस तळपदे, सतीश कौशिक आणि अनुपम खेर यांनी या चित्रपटात महत्त्वाच्या भूमिका साकारल्या आहे. दिवंगत सतीश कौशिक यांचा हा शेवटचा चित्रपट आहे. कंगनाने हा चित्रपट तिच्या प्रोडक्शन हाऊस मणिकर्णिका फिल्म्स बॅनरखाली झी स्टुडिओच्या सहकार्याने बनवला आहे.
