\nअलीकडेच, वैजयंती मूव्हीजने दीपिका पदुकोण आता ‘कल्की २८९८ एडी’ च्या सिक्वेलचा भाग नसल्याचे सांगितले. त्यांनी सोशल मिडियावर पोस्ट शेअर करत लिहिले की, “आम्ही अधिकृतपणे जाहीर करतो की दीपिका पदुकोण आता ‘कल्की २८९८ एडी’ चा भाग नाही. खूप विचारविनिमय केल्यानंतर, आम्ही वेगळे होण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. पहिल्या चित्रपटात इतका लांब प्रवास करूनही, आम्ही भागीदारी करू शकलो नाही. ‘कल्की २८९८ एडी’ मध्ये वचनबद्धतेची आवश्यकता आहे. तिच्या उर्वरित कामासाठी आम्ही तिला शुभेच्छा देतो.” त्यामुळे दीपिका आता ‘कल्की २८९८ एडी २’मधून आऊट तर ‘किंग’मध्ये दमदार एन्ट्री करणार आहे.
