शौचालय घोटाळ्याचा आरोप करण्यात आल्यानंतर किरीट सोमय्या यांच्या पत्नी मेधा सोमय्या यांनी स्वतः मुलूंडच्या नवघर पोलीस ठाण्यात अब्रुनुकसानीची तक्रार दाखल केली होती. मात्र त्यावर FIR दाखल करण्यात आला नव्हता.
\nनेमके काय आहे प्रकरण
\nमीरा भाईंदर मध्ये १५९ शौचालये बांधण्यात आली. त्यापैकी यातील 16 शौचालये बांधण्याचे काम किरीट सोमय्या यांच्या पत्नी मेधा सोमय्या यांच्या युवक प्रतिष्ठानला देण्यात आले होते. या प्रकरणी खोटी कागदपत्र देऊन मीरा भाईंदर पालिकेच्या अधिकाऱ्यांची फसवणूक केल्याचा आरोप शिवसेना आमदारांनी केला होता. प्रताप सरनाईक यांच्याकडून हा आरोप करण्यात आलेला होता. या प्रकरणातून साडेतीन कोटींहून अधिकची बिले घेण्यात आल्याचा आरोपही करण्यात आला होता. प्रताप सरनाईक यांनी याबाबत विधान सभेमध्ये देखील प्रश्न उपस्थित केला होता.
