\nअरविंद केजरीवाल यांनी या अगोदर दिल्लीतील जाट समुदायाला केंद्राच्या ओबीसी यादीत समावेश करण्याबाबत पत्र लिहिले होते. केंद्र सरकारने ओबीसी आरक्षणाच्या नावाखाली १० वर्षे जाट समाजाची फसवणूक केल्याचा आरोप त्यांनी पत्रात केला होता. गृहमंत्री अमित शहा यांनी २०१९ मध्ये केंद्राच्या ओबीसी यादीत जाट समाजाचा समावेश करण्याचे आश्वासन दिले होते, परंतु ते पूर्ण केले नाही. केंद्र सरकारच्या ओबीसी यादीत समाविष्ट नसल्यामुळे जाट समाजातील हजारो मुले दिल्ली विद्यापीठात प्रवेश घेऊ शकत नाहीत, असे आम आदमी पक्षाच्या प्रमुखांनी म्हटले होते.
