आगामी 2024-25 हंगामासाठी रेड बॉल फॉरमॅटमध्ये बीसीसीआयच्या सर्व खेळाडूंसाठी मॅच फी समतल करण्यासह अनेक महत्त्वपूर्ण निर्णय त्यांच्या कार्यकाळात घेतले. एमसीएने रणजी करंडक विजेत्या संघासाठी 5 कोटी रुपयांचे बक्षीस जाहीर केले होते. ही रक्कम बीसीसीआयच्या बक्षीस रकमेपेक्षाही जास्त आहे. त्यावेळी एमसीएचे अध्यक्ष अमोल काळे यांनी घोषणा करताना म्हटले होते की, रणजी करंडक खेळणाऱ्या खेळाडूंचे उत्पन्न चांगले असावे. मुंबईत रणजी ट्रॉफी आणि लाल बॉल क्रिकेटचे स्वतःचे महत्त्व आहे.
