\nकेएससीए आणि आरसीबीने घेतलेल्या संयुक्त निर्णयानुसार, स्टेडियममधील एका प्रमुख स्टँडमधील ११ जागा (Seats) कायमस्वरूपी रिकाम्या ठेवल्या जाणार आहेत. केवळ आयपीएलच नव्हे, तर आगामी सर्व आंतरराष्ट्रीय सामन्यांमध्येही या जागांवर कोणालाही बसता येणार नाही. ही त्या मृतांना दिलेली एक मूक श्रद्धांजली असेल.
यंदा आरसीबी आपल्या घरच्या मैदानावर म्हणजेच बेंगळुरूमध्ये ५ सामने खेळणार आहे. मात्र, सुरक्षेच्या कारणास्तव आणि गर्दीचे नियोजन करण्यासाठी उर्वरित दोन घरगुती सामने रायपूर येथील शहीद वीर नारायण सिंह आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्टेडियमवर आयोजित केले जाणार आहेत. गेल्या वर्षीच्या घटनेनंतर चिन्नास्वामीकडून महिला विश्वचषकाचे यजमानपदही हिरावून घेण्यात आले होते, मात्र आता नव्या सुरक्षा नियमांसह हे मैदान पुन्हा एकदा सज्ज झाले आहे.
