या घटनेमुळे फुकेत विमानतळ येथील धावपट्टीचे काही प्रमाणात नुकसान झाले. त्यामुळे विमान हटवण्यासाठी आणि तपासणीसाठी धावपट्टी काही तासांसाठी बंद ठेवण्यात आली. दुपारी 12.08 ते सायंकाळी 6 वाजेपर्यंत विमान बाजूला करण्याचे काम सुरू होते.
\nदरम्यान, DGCA ने या घटनेची चौकशी करण्याचे आदेश दिले असून तज्ज्ञांचे पथक तपासासाठी फुकेतकडे रवाना करण्यात आले आहे. एअर इंडिया एक्सप्रेसनेही प्रवाशांच्या सुरक्षेला प्राधान्य देत विमानाचे सुरक्षित लँडिंग करण्यात आल्याचे स्पष्ट केले आहे. सध्या संबंधित विमान तांत्रिक तपासणीसाठी फुकेत विमानतळावरच ठेवण्यात आले आहे.
